Centurion Asset Management Inc., the asset manager of Centurion Apartment REIT, is pleased to announce, in partnership with Simon Fraser University, the completion of the acquisition of two newly constructed student housing residences in Burnaby, British Columbia.

“We are extremely excited to be a part of the new on-campus student housing opportunity for Simon Fraser University students,” says Greg Romundt, President & CEO of Centurion Asset Management. “We understand all the work, planning, and execution that goes into providing a safe, inclusive, and elevated student housing experience. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to collaborate with Simon Fraser University on this development.”

Completed in June 2021, the two buildings feature a combined 482 single-occupancy rooms, as well as an abundance of various community and learning amenities, offering students a true home away from home experience and a place to enjoy life on campus. There are close to 50 rooms on each floor in addition to shared washroom facilities, laundry rooms, accessible room options, as well as a mix of lounge, community, and study spaces. Other amenities include community kitchens, wellness, music, and activity rooms, and multi-faith spaces. This residence will offer safe, comfortable, and environmentally friendly housing where everyone can learn, socialize and grow. This collaboration will continue Centurion’s national expansion plans on the West Coast within a partnership that aims to continue evolving and co-investing in many more student housing investment opportunities together over the long term.
